8-year relationship with WordPress: Slowly at first but surely a joy; steadily & inevitably, it became a part of me now.
Never expect this site has been with me for such a long time & honestly taking quite a bit of money too! 🥰.
No flex!!!

For 🇻🇳: https://hocvientommy.com/2026/04/06/8-nam-voi-wordpress/
1. SLOWLY at first 🐢
Looking back at the early days, it all started as a personal blog called “Learn with Tommy”.
Here is the fun fact: the root is still hocvoitommy.wordpress.com.

I built it for 3 simple reasons:
- To have a space to learn new skill (for me, at that time is website production)
- To practice my writing
- To categorize & organize the thoughts, the opinion & the idea.
There were no shortcuts back then!!! Do or do not, there is NO-TRY.

Wrestling with the tech setup & figuring out code manually was a beautiful nightmare.
It was a slow start. It took me around 2-3 months just done for layout & core function.
On the other side, the raw joy of seeing something you built from scratch actually come to life brought absolute satisfaction.
It is what it is & It is fun…
2.But SURELY a joy… 🌻
That tiny piece “grew up” into the foundation of Tommy Academy, now holding a proud collection of over 150+ posts and pages for such a long-long time.
I built that technical foundation early on.
I spent years grinding & perfecting my skills around the core mechanics of website: the tags, the URLs, the design, the plugins, the content…
Of course, things are different now in the AI era.
With today’s tech, an AI tools or agents could probably generate 100 posts in a single week, or the entire site with a click.
I tried it, I saw it, I knew it & I believed it..
Here is the thought:
Pressing a button to get 100+ posts in 7 days will never ever replace the fulfilling feeling of manually crafting them over years.
AI doesn’t have the feelings.
It cannot understand the empathy, the joy, or the pain of the process.
You can know the theory, you can hear about it.
Unless you actually go through the grind yourself, you will never truly feel & gain that level of empathy.
Creating things with your own hands brings a very sure kind of joy.
A well-said may echo my pov: happiness is always found in the journey, not the destination.

3.STEADILY 🚀 becoming a part of me
It is not force, it is my choice. It becomes a part of me & my journey in this life.
A lot of things I plan would come this year.
Besides, I am thrilled to share a brand-new project I just finished building: hocvientommy.com.
This will be a dedicated hub for Marketing, Media, and AI specifically tailored for the 🇻🇳 market.
The site is looking smooth, the articles are lined up, and we are going live very soon! hé hé 😉🎉
