1. My favorite quote

“Do or Do not.. There is NO TRY”

This has been my favorite quote since graduation, my own compass since the day-1 till now.

• Understanding is useful.
• Awareness is useful.
• Strategy is useful.

After all, there is no try, there is only the decision to act. The choice or the opinion for your chosen.

2. What I’m seeing now with AI everywhere

AI would give us not only infinite & smart answers but also The “Curse Of Knowledge”:

The MORE you learn the risk & trade-off, the LESS action you take.

It sounds like a cliché until you test it across different kind of battlefields.

3. What this quote has meant across my career

I have felt this in every chapter of my journey so far

1. In agency, it built my foundation, a reason for all sufferings. There is NO TRY making the beautiful slide & making client happy.
2. In corporate, it became accountability, a reason for all fighting. You do not “try” to hit the target, you just go for it.
3. And now, with real skin in the game, I understand it even more deeply the so-called “brand-love”. It feels like being a father: paying the bills, carrying the pressure, surviving the hard days & still feeling proud as your own “children” growing & growing up day by days.

Do or do not, there is no try. There is only showing up, taking responsibility, and doing what must be done with care.

4. The gap between knowing & doing is getting wider

AI makes understanding easier than ever.

With that, the more you know, the easier it becomes to stay in analysis mode.

The curse of knowledge makes starting feel riskier. Because understanding more risk creates paralysis. The more you learn about what could go wrong, the harder it becomes to just start.

However, doing still beats understanding. It always has & it always will.

Understanding is useful. Awareness is useful. Strategy is useful. In the end, there is no try.

There is preparation. There is commitment. There is execution & the courage to move before certainty arrives.
